Chris advises a wide range of clients on acquisitions and disposals, land assembly and development, investment and financing and management of property assets. Chris is dual-qualified in Northern Ireland and England and Wales and regularly advises clients on transactions with cross-jurisdictional elements.

  • Acting for a bidder during the sale by AES of the Kilroot and Ballylumford power stations in Northern Ireland
  • Advising the Viridian Group on the acquisition of Rathsherry, Gortfinbar, Long Mountain, Altamuskin, Cornavarrow, Slieveglass and Teiges windfarms in Northern Ireland and two rounds of subsequent project financing with Ulster Bank
  • Acting for Solarplicity during their portfolio project financing with Macquarie Group
  • Advising Mutual Energy in relation to the Gas to the West Project including Necessary Wayleave hearings at the Department for Economy, Northern Ireland
  • Advising Simple Power Limited in connection with a series of financing rounds with AIB and the subsequent sale to Foresight Group
  • Advising ERG SpA during the acquisition of the ‘subsidy-free’ Craiggore Wind Farm in Northern Ireland from RES
  • Advising Full Circle Generation Ltd in respect of all property aspects of the development and funding of an energy from waste facility at Belfast Harbour to include grid connection and bespoke grid sharing arrangements and certifying property aspects to senior debt and equity sponsorship
  • Advising Scottish Equity Partners on their acquisition from SSE of the Tilbury Port Wind Project, Thames Valley
  • Acting for TCI Renewables Limited in respect of the disposal of Crockbaravally Wind Farm in Northern Ireland and the subsequent refinancing with Bayern LB
  • Acting for Prestige Underwriting Limited (backed by Capital Z Partners Management LLC) during the acquisition of Abbey Insurance Brokers
  • Acting for Coca Cola HBC during the sale of their production and bottling site in Lambeg
  • Acting for The Crown Estate in respect of the Marine Coastal Estate in Northern Ireland
  • Acting for Musgrave Group on a wide variety of acquisitions, disposals and asset management of supermarkets and convenience stores throughout Northern Ireland
  • Co-ordinating property aspects of due-diligence intensive projects including: several cross-jurisdiction acquisitions and subsequent work-outs of loan portfolios; the acquisition of c.80 solar projects by an energy and infrastructure fund; vendor-led diligence on the sale of circa c.50 single-turbine wind assets; and the financing of Oxford Capital’s rooftop-solar portfolio in Northern Ireland
