Arthur Cox offers an outstanding work environment which is we believe unsurpassed by any other law firm in Dublin. Our modern six storey premises was designed and fitted out to a very high specification with comfort, efficiency and quality of working life in mind. Working areas are spacious, well-ventilated and full of natural light. Investment in I.T. is ongoing and our systems are up to the minute.

People in Arthur Cox enjoy life outside the office just as much as legal results achieved within the office. Consequently, there is a lively Sports and Social scene that has grown up around our firm with great opportunities for social events both on a casual and organised basis. Organised events are arranged throughout the year to encourage people to get to know each other outside the work environment. These include comedy nights, wine tasting, greyhound racing, the summer barbeque and the Christmas party. Each practice group also does their own socialising to make sure that you get to know everyone within your work team on a more personal level.

Organised sporting activities include golf outings, tennis tournaments, tag-rugby, 5-aside soccer and fielding a team for the inter-firm soccer league. We also receive reduced rate membership at a number of sports clubs. And of course, both the Summer Barbeque and the Christmas Party are two key essential events that everyone always rushes to attend!

Other social initiatives, from yoga classes to staging plays, have been popular over the years. The Arthur Cox Dramatic Society’s most recent production was a well-received rendition of Oscar Wilde’s "Lady Windermere’s Fan".

Recently, we organised events aimed specifically at those with families and young children. The Kiddies’ Halloween Party and Kiddies’ Summer Carnival were both a great success.

On the language front, French, German and Spanish classes are run in the office at lunchtimes and are very popular. They cater for all levels from beginner to advanced and are a great way of getting to know people across the firm.

Last year also saw the introduction of the “Equilibrium” programme, which took place over the winter months. A popular initiative, the series of lunchtime talks related to topics as diverse as nutrition, children's development, self-image and motivation, and were delivered by experts in the relevant areas. These talks were well attended by a broad mix of our lawyers and support staff.

Organised events are not nearly as important as informal events, which take place on a daily basis and result in strong relationships and friendships being formed across all departments of the firm. You will find these in plentiful supply across every floor and corner of our building and they spread out into the nearby restaurants, coffee shops and parks during lunchtimes and after office hours.
