Brian is a partner in the Commercial Property Department and has been with Arthur Cox since 2004. Brian has a broad experience in all aspects of property transactions and also has some construction law experience. He advises lending institutions, pension funds, international and domestic investors and both state-owned and semi-state bodies on a wide range of property-related matters, including: acquisitions & disposals, development agreements, secured lending, lease & surrender negotiations (including re-gearing) and other property management issues.


Experience includes advising:

  • Advising Ireland Universal ICAV on its acquisition of One Spencer Dock in 2016
  • Advising Bank of Ireland on the disposal of five retail parks in receivership as part of Project National in 2015
  • Advising Tetrarch Capital on the acquisition of Millennium Park in Naas, Co Kildare in 2015
  • Advising Lloyds on the disposal of six shopping centres in receivership as part of Project Spectrum in 2014
  • Advising Kennedy Wilson on the acquisition and redevelopment of Capital Dock from 2012 to date
  • Advising Blackstone in relation to Irish property matters from 2013 to date
  • Advising Rohan Group on the ongoing management of its portfolio from 2007 to date
  • Advising Musgrave on its acquisition of the Superquinn business and the ongoing management of its portfolio of supermarkets in 2011
  • Advising Step Telecom on its acquisition of certain T50 assets from Viatel in 2016
  • Advising Ryde Dublin Ltd on the disposal of No. 1 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2 in 2013
  • Advising Irish Airlines Pensions Scheme on the disposal of their portfolio of properties in 2012/2013
